  • Physics Department news and events
    • The department colloquium features invited talks from all fields of physics. Tuesdays, 4:00–5:00pm, in Broida 1640.
  • Astrophysics Colloquium
    • Invited talks by UCSB visitors. Thursdays, 2:00–3:00pm, in Broida 3302.
  • Las Cumbres Observatory Seminars
    • Scientists at LCO host a speaker every month to talk about a hot topic in time-domain astrophysics. Thursdays, 3:30–4:30pm, at LCO. A shuttle leaves from the loading area behind Broida Hall at 3:15pm.
  • Santa Barbara Astro Lunch
    • A weekly informal gathering of UCSB, LCO, and KITP astrophysicists to keep informed about current astrophysics research by Santa Barbara locals and visitors. Wednesdays, 12:00–1:00pm, in Broida 3302.
  • Daily Astro Tea
    • A daily informal gathering of UCSB/KITP astrophysicists to enjoy a cup of the finest British tea in the local universe. Every day, 3:30pm, in Broida 2015 (Astro Lounge).
