A Department of Education Program:
Grants from the U.S. Department of Education have supported the UCSB Physics Department's GAANN Program. Our GAANN Fellowships in Physics are awarded to exceptional students who demonstrate high academic achievement, promise for a successful career in research and higher education, and an interest in inspiring younger students' enthusiasm for science and in fostering engagement of traditionally under-represented groups in physics.
