I am the founder of the Astronomy Sound of the Month website (AstroSoM.com), which uses sound to highlight current astrophysics research and topics. This is an exciting project and I encourage contributions from the astrophysics community. Please get in touch if you are interested in being a part of Astro SoM!
Astronomy Sound of the Month is part of my broader ongoing efforts to develop accessible educational materials that use sound as a complementary medium for teaching astronomy concepts. Incorporating data sonifications into the classroom makes learning astronomy accessible to students with visual impairments, aural learning styles, and for whom English is a second language.
I also love giving public talks on astronomy topics and have had a blast presenting at Astronomy on Tap and Nerd Nite. I have extensive public speaking experience, having performed at Ignite Boulder, The Narrators, and Stories on Stage.
