About me

I received my PhD from Stanford University in June 2003 under the guidance of Prof. Isaac L. Chuang (now at MIT). My thesis focused on implementing quantum algorithms on a quantum computer using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) techniques. I did my postdoctoral work in John Martinis’ group where we build quantum bits using Josephson junctions (phase qubits, to be precise). I am now working on flux qubits at the IBM Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, NY.

Please submit all requests for internships and other job openings at UC Santa Barbara directly to John Martinis! I do not know what’s available.

If you are curious about internships and other job opportunities at IBM, please be patient. I will post information soon.
