PCS Computer Account/Doorcode Application for Incoming Graduate Students Only


NOTE: Computer accounts and doorcodes will be removed when the user ceases affiliation with the UCSB Physics Department (i.e. graduation, termination of employment).

If you specify a password that is insufficently complex (mixture of letters, numbers and symbols) we will assign another password. You can obtain your password when you arrive at UCSB. We do not send passwords via e-mail.

Be aware that to connect to the campus network your computer must be patched to current levels. The Physics Department supplies its members with anti-virus software that must be installed and current. The computer must also pass a vulnerability and security test. Bring your computer to the PCS office when you arrive.

PLEASE READ AND SIGN the Physics Department Computer Usage Policy form and Information Release and Authorization Form sent to you by the Physics Department Graduate Advisor. Return the signed forms to the Graduate Advisor.
Without these forms on file, we cannot process your computer account application.
