Privacy Issues

Although the Physics department does its best to protect its users and systems, you should be aware that computers are never completely secure or stable. The department is not responsible for any loss of data or privacy, no matter what the cause.

In the normal course of their duties, department system managers review logs that contain information about user activity occurring on the system or network, examples of this information include the source and destination addresses of email messages, and files that have been transferred.
