The Hotel in Quepos

We stayed at a hotel that is considered an ecolodge, which means that the hotel takes special steps in its everyday tasks to minimize damage on the environment. For example, the lobby does not utilize any electric lighting during the day but rather depends on the natural light by installing skylights and having the lobby outdoors.

The first set of pictures are from the Rico Tico Restaraunt at the hotel.
We also found a friend near the pool by the restaurant while we were eating.

This next set shows the hotel and how it is built into the surrounding rain forest.
The two island pictures are the views from the hotel lobby and our balcony.

Here I am sitting at the Rico Tico again eating some pinto gallo (black beans and rice), a staple of every Costa Rican meal. The other two pictures show us at the hotel lobby, sitting in popular Nicuaragan rocking chairs, waiting for the bus on our final day in Quepos.
