Upon our arrival into Quepos, I was a bit surprised by the lack of modernity
in the town. The roads were unpaved with little or no traffic rules, many
homes were in less than desirable conditions, and there was a lack of modern
facilties. It was just raw ignorance for me to think that because Costa
Rica was such a popular vacation spot among Americans that things would
be more catered towards vacationers. After setting this straight with myself
I was ready to have a good time.
Here we are on the beach buying
freshly "macheted" coconut milk from a local Tico.
