Note:  Only the problems listed under "To TA" need to be turned in. The problems listed under "On your own" are highly recommended to test your understanding. You are encouraged to compare your answers to those given by other students. Books are referred to as: U=Universe.
HOMEWORK ETIQUETTE:
1. Please turn in all homework by 16:00 (4pm) to the appropriately marked box (by section time) outside the PSR on the first floor of Broida Hall just adjacent to the elevators.
2. In the upper right hand of all assignments, please write your first and last name, TA and section, the date, and the assignment number.
3. When given problems from the textbook, write the chapter and number of the problem.
4. Show all work. We will give no credit if you simply write down the answer. We recommend you solve the equations in variable form first and only plug in numbers at the end. Box your answers and be sure to include units (SI unless otherwise noted). Most importantly, write clearly. If we can't read your work we won't grade it.
5. Please use the backs of pages to save paper. If you turn in multiple pages, staple them together. Do not assume the pages will stay together if you simply bend the corners.
6. Late homework will not be accepted. However, only the eight best homework assignments will be taken into account when computing the final grade. Therefore you can miss (or do badly) in one assignment with no penalty.
