  • Our April potluck was great! We foud a new, nicer venue and were even treated to a piano concert!
  • Thanks to everyone who helped out with Visit Day! It was a long and exhausting but very rewarding weekend. It all went smoothly thanks to all of you!
  • Our Winter movie night went very well. We enjoyed "October Sky", some pizza, popcorn, brownies and beer. Who could ask for anything more?!
  • Miriam Friedel's talk was quite interesting and made us think about a whole new world outside of academia, including the need to wear something other than jeans!
  • The APS Committee for the Status of Women has given us their report on their site visit from last quarter. Please be sure to email Omer Blaes if you would like to take a look at it.
  • Our February potluck dinner was a huge success! We were happy to see both faculty and students, as well as some awesome dishes and lots of interesting conversation!
