Motion of Ideal Gas Molecules in
a cylinder
You can change the temperature (T) of the cylinder by adjusting the bar on the left.
Notice how the gas expands and volume (V) increases as the temperature increases.
Now change the outside pressure (P) on the cylinder by adjusting the bar in the center.
As you decrease the outside pressure, the volume of the cylinder increases.
Now change the number of molecules (N) in the cylinder by adjusting the bar on the right.
The more molecules of gas there are, the greater the pressure inside the cylinder.
