The conference will take place on the UCSB campus at the Mosher Alumni house, Alumni Hall. See this map for the location of the venue.
Public transport
From downtown Santa Barbara the fastest way to get to UCSB is using the Line 24x (UCSB Express) from the MTD transit center.
From most other places, it is usually convenient to make your way to Hollister or State street and catch the line Line 11x, see here for more details.
Tickets can be bought, for instance, in the UCSB campus store and at the MTD transit center. One can also pay cash for one-way fares (standard fare is $1.75) directly on the bus using the fareboxes but these do not give change. More information can be found here.
Parking
For those driving to campus, this map shows available parking lots. On March 1st, visitors may park in lots without specific designation (e.g. not in marked faculty/staff lots). On March 2nd, additional lots with designations only for weekdays also become available. Payment is made with permit dispensers located at each lot. We recommend lots 16 or 18.
Lunch
There are several options on campus to buy lunch, many can be found at the UCSB University Center. Some alternatives can be found here. Please take into account that on Saturday choice will be more limited. It is also possible to go to Isla Vista for lunch, which is about 25 minutes walking.
The best option however is to ask or follow a local!
Dinner
If you have the chance, take a stroll down State Street in downtown Santa Barbara, choose one of the excellent dining options there and have a gelato, or even make your way to the harbor.
Closer to campus, there are for instance Camino Real Marketplace, Old Town Goleta, or Calle Real Center.
